The Author retains all rights to the Book, including copyright and any related intellectual property rights. Upon full payment of the agreed-upon fees, the Ghostwriter will transfer any rights and interests they may have in the Book to the Author.
The ghostwriter and the commissioning party enter into a "work-for-hire" agreement, where the ghostwriter agrees to transfer the copyright ownership to the commissioning party. The person or entity commissioning the work would be considered the owner of the copyright.
